Meet Baby Beaux

Isn't he so handsome?  We were so excited to meet our sweet nephew Beaux this last weekend, and I was so honored to take a few photos of him in the hospital.  I wanted to share a few of these special memories with you...

So tiny.  So new. So sweet.

A mother's love.  So amazing.

A sweet and beautiful new family.

Sweet baby feet and fuzz.  It all goes by so quickly, you forget how little they were...

I enjoyed standing back and watching every moment....so much love and happiness.

We are so proud of you Derek & Molly!  Congratulations!!!

Twins at Three

THREE years old.  I still can't believe it!  I never got a chance to take their three year old photos, and these kind of came about as an accident.  I was trying to take a sister pic with Brooke in the middle, but she wasn't in the picture taking mood.  I did get a few of the twins that I absolutely LOVE and wanted to share them with y'all!

Silly.  Only Lauren would pick her nose.  This photo session lasted about five minutes - and all I did was click away while they did their own thing. I love how silly, playful, sweet and fun these two are with each other.

Sweet memories - each their own little person, yet so much alike.  What a gift they have in each other as constant companions and friends!

Teal and Co. {and a great deal!}

Last weekend I got to take a few photos for my friend Liz and her business Teal and Co.  Liz and I have been friends since Nissi and Brooke were sweet little babies.  We met in child birthing class, found each other in walmart soon after the girls were born, started Teal and Co. together, and now she runs the business on her own and is doing an AMAZING job with all her beautiful masterpieces.

I love all the patriotic colors - perfect for July 4th!!!

It's amazing to see how much these two have grown into beautiful young ladies over the last few years..

Teal and Co.  is featured on Very Jane TODAY!!! Go HERE to get these fabulous bow ties at an amazing price!  Snatch them up in every color!

Make sure to like Teal on facebook!

Destin Vacation 2013

Here are some photos of our Destin Vacation.  We went with most of Landon's family...the one's that weren't able to go were missed.  The ocean is one of my favorite places to be.  We tried to soak in every minute, but of course the week flew by as all vacations do...

After 2 days of traveling, we unloaded the cars and headed down to the beach!  The twins were super insecure about the sand, but ended up doing 100% better than last year.

Brooke is our little fish.  She was completely soaked, and even apologized for getting her clothes all dirty.  It was so fun watching her be so free, and enjoying the ocean like she had been there just yesterday.

We took some family pictures by the beach Thursday night.  I'm still REALLY learning how to take  photos, but I love capturing special memories shared with loved ones.

Here are Poppy and GiGi with some of the grandkids.  There are three beautiful blondes missing!

Such a fun, relaxing week.  Looking forward to the next time we will get to visit...with one more kid in tow!

Preserving precious memories...

happy moments...

sweet friends...

laughter...

a mother expecting...

sibling love...

precious smiles...

sweet baby cheeks...

I'm no photographer, but I have thoroughly enjoyed taking photos of my sweet family and friends.  They make great memories, and the behind the "scenes" has kept me smiling ALL week.  If only you could have seen us on Sunday night when we took Derek & Molly's photos.  It was 41 degrees and WINDY!  My sweet kids watched from the car, and my even sweeter husband held a GIANT beach umbrella to block the wind from his pregnant sister.  Molly and I had Pinterest up on my iphone and were standing there freezing, trying to mimic the poses of all the amazing (non cheesy) maternity photos I had pinned. We won't forget that night, and I really love how their pictures turned out.  More importantly I love the sweet memories we made together, and we are looking forward to meeting our nephew this summer!

Amber inspired me to make these cute bunny shirts for the girls.  She made one similar for Will last year, but it had a little button on the tail instead of the flower.  My girls ADORE "Ammer" and just love Will to pieces.  I mean - the kid is always smiling so whats NOT to love about him!  And Jackson...those sweet chubby cheeks make me smile.  God has blessed us with their friendship and I'm so thankful!

I have to thank my amazing husband for getting me the camera I have been wanting for years...so I can capture these moments to remember everything that is special and beautiful to me!

First 911 Call

Don't worry...NO broken bones or anything. Just a funny story. Okay 2 funny stories.

I feel like I am living in a week of Mondays this week.

Monday #1 - For those of you who have ever taken a 15 month old to the Dr. for a check-up and shots....you already know where I am going with this. Multiply that by TWO and only one mama. All I have to say is...next time I am taking re-enforcement's. OUT OF CONTROL.

Monday #2 - This was really Tuesday but it felt like Monday. The twins are sick, so I missed the first day of Bible Study. While I was driving to the grocery store, I saw a flock of birds on the road. I slowed down a little to about 35 mph thinking they would fly away. They didn't. So I felt several thuds, saw a couple dead birds in my rear view...and kept driving. Went to the grocery store. Drove past 3 dead birds and a couple people pointing at me. Parked in the garage. Got the twins out of the car and had both of them in my arms. While going into the house I hear something. Look over and there is a bird stuck in the grill of my car. I screamed and ran into the house. I back the car out of the garage and try getting the bird out with a broom. It's leg was stuck, so it too a while. They it runs into my garage and I am chasing (while screaming) it around until I get it out. I felt like a crazy person, but I am kind of scared of birds.

Monday #3 - This IS really wednesday but it feels like another Monday. I was up with Brooke several times throughout the night. I think she is scared of the dark. :O/ So we are all very tired. I lay the girls down for naps, and go outside to make a phone call to the water company. I locked myself out. Sigh. I check all the doors and windows. My iphone is not working except to make calls. Landon was in a meeting today, so he wasn't answering. I knocked on Brooke's window to see if she would wake up and come open the door for me. Pretty sure I scared her because she never came to the window and had an "accident". I called 911 to see if they could help me. Right after they send the call out to have someone come over, Landon calls to let me know he is on his way home. So I called 911 back to let them know that I am just a crazy mother who has lost her mind. 45 minutes later I am back in the house, doing another load of laundry and playing with crazy kids who are supposed to be napping. I had to blog about this because it makes me laugh instead of cry.

My TO DO list for this week:
Clean the bird guts (sorry everyone) off the car.
Just cough up the $75 to get a garage keypad for future occurrences. There WILL be more.
Get to the Apple store to get my phone fixed.
Get myself a Diet Coke.

Crazy Parents at midnight...

This is Lauren happy as can be!

Freely giving some sweet kisses!

There are a few questions we have answered a few hundred times since we added the twins to our family.

1. Are they twins? Hmm....no...they just look exactly the same and are the same size.
2. Are they boys? Sure....boys with earrings, pink damask car seats, pink shirts and bows stuck to their head with KY jelly.
3. Do you get any sleep at night? This is one question that Landon and I avoided answering directly. We tried not to "jinx" ourselves by answering completely. To be honest the girls have been sleeping through the night at about 8 weeks old. Since we did our best to keep them on the same feeding/napping/sleeping schedule they would sleep and wake around the same time. God really blessed us with babies who slept at night. He knew we needed all the strength to take care of the kids the next day!

All that to say....every couple nights Landon and I go into the twins room and pick up a sleeping baby. Just to hold them. They immediately wake up. They will not allow us to rock them to sleep or hold them while they are sleeping. They just smile and play for a couple minutes with us in bed until we put them back in their cribs. So we are pretty crazy for waking our babies up in the middle of the night while they are sleeping so soundly...but we just love that sweet couple of minutes with our sweet little babies. They won't be little for long!

My sweet little girl turned TWO!

Two years ago, we met our sweet little Brooke. She has been such a joy in our lives. We thank God daily for the blessings He has given us by giving us our sweet girls. We are praying that she grows up to know Him, and that she lives a life to serve Him. We can't wait to see what plans He has for her. She is special to Him, and special to us!
